Back on two wheels

New bike, originally uploaded by Oldtasty.
Did a test ride to the office yesterday, and rode in again this morning via the Stevens Creek Trail. Gas is up to $4.08/gallon out here, and I need the exercise anyway. But really, it’s just nice to be back on two wheels again.

Awesome! Gas is $4.09 here, which makes walking and biking sound like more and more fun all the time.
Yeah, it’s pretty steep. Of course, I also packed on a few extra pounds when I moved out here (free food + stress eating) so this will help me get back into shape.
Hey, you have a great (and free to you) bus system you should be using! I’d be all over that if I were still there. Plus, no parking passes to deal with
You accomplished a lot this weekend! I traveled the trail with you. What are your entrance and exit points from your house?
I get on just a little south of this bridge, and exit here, right by the Microsoft campus. Minimal street riding, which suits me just fine!
Yes it is good to be on two wheels again! So much fun and great exercise. I bought a bike this year after a “too many years to count” break and am LOVING it. It’s too far for me to bike to work, but have done a lot of great scenic rides on the weekend. And the St. Louis Riverfront Trail is really pretty cool. Did the Alton Riverfront Trail right before the flooding too. Haven’t done Katy yet, but that’s next on the list.
