Walked to work
Published May 16th, 2008 in LifeCar’s in the shop so I decided to walk the 4 miles in to work. I’m walking like an old man around the office as a result, but I’m thinking I may do this more often. It’s a nice walk, it’s eco-friendly, and I really need the exercise. I think I’ve figured out the shortest route too:
I have to admit every time someone biked by, I was a bit jealous of them and their fancy mechanical transport…
I meant to ask–why didn’t you bike?
OK, I’m with you in this endeavor (and boy can I use some exercise and fresh air!)…I’m going to do the same…I will walk to campus, the Archives, GSLIS. I won’t have quite the cornicopia awaiting me at the campus end that you do but hey….I’ve got the UIUC Library!
Ok, deal. I actually walked again today, but have a better solution. There’s a CalTrain station almost exactly 2 miles from my house, from which I can catch the work shuttle the rest of the way to the office. At the end of the day, I can catch the shuttle back to the Mountain View CalTrain station and then walk the 2 miles back home.
If I can do this 2-3 times a week, I should be able to drop some of the extra pounds I’ve picked up due to the combination of Google food and Google stress
Oh, how silly! I put my comment under your “Connections” blog!!!
