Words of wisdom

A real patriot is the fellow who gets a parking ticket and rejoices that the system works.
My dad will greatly appreciate this.

About six months ago, I got the following fortune cookie.
You or a close friend will be married within a year.
I got married about three weeks ago. Go figure.
Ha, I got almost exactly that back in 1988 — “You will be married within a year.” The reason I know it was 1988 is because I dated it and carried it around in my wallet, waiting for the prediction to come true. It was only off by a couple of decades…
I usually smile when I get a ticket. I deserve every parking ticket I have ever gotten. I take the ticket like it is like a parking fee that I tend to avoid, but occasionally get hit.
Enjoy the heat
