Vanity
Published April 20th, 2006 in Meta BloggingThis has never been, nor will it ever be a confessional web site. I can barely stand my own attempts at traditional, private pen-on-paper journaling, and they eventually wind up gathering dust until I stumble across them months later and toss them in the trash, horrified at the linguistic and literary sins I’ve committed. However, I do want to make one small, unflattering disclosure: I can’t stop looking at my new site. Now, I could dress it up and say that I’m giving it a careful once over, looking for flaws and imperfections, but I’d be lying. I love what I’ve done with the place, and can’t stop admiring my own handiwork. The novelty will wear off soon, accelerated by looming final projects and S’s arrival on the 29th, but for now… who’s that handsome man in the mirror?

Can’t you have it so we all get to customize your website when we see it? Like myspace?
If it makes you feel any better i will never look at your blog. i rss it.
yeah, I only read feeds anymore too. What’s more, I think twice about subscribing to someone who doesn’t provide fulltext.
As far as customizing my site, I think you should make your own Greasemonkey script. Like blue text on an orange background? Go crazy
I love the new site AND still read your blog. But I’m old school that way. RSS Feeds…..no way man!
Anyway, I’m glad to see you’ve become a cover model since we last spoke (which is very cool, btw.) I continue to be amazed by your accomplishments: Rock star, television personality, internet guru, an international man of mystery, etc. Of course your greatest accomplishment in my book is, “and great friend.”
Great site!! I look forward to the reading. RSS Feeds. . .whatever. [Note to reader: writer is not sure what RSS feeds are. It was explained to him once, but he still doesn’t get it.]
I’m with you on feeds. I miss my daily blogcrawl, but Bloglines is a much more efficient way of slacking.
Speaking of which….
