Redesign
Published September 12th, 2005 in Meta BloggingAs you’ll notice, I’ve given the site a bit of a redesign, pretty much because I just can’t leave well enough alone. I probably wouldn’t have done it under my old publishing system (Blogger), but my new WordPress CMS makes it so easy to switch back and forth between themes that I can revert back to the old design if this one is too buggy or cluttered.

There are some things like rebuilding my resume, photo and project pages that I haven’t gotten around to doing yet, but soon enough. Also, I have a ton of news to post about, but haven’t really figured out where to start. I’ll get around to that too. Promise.
Edit: This layout is optimized for those with 1024×768 and greater screen resolutions. If you’re using an 800×600 monitor, feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts and/or suggestions.
Edit 2: I took a look at it on a smaller screen and yikes! Talk about overwhelming…. Fixes to come.
Love the look, although, yes, it does seem a bit wide. I think I usually keep my browser window about 800 pixels wide, my little laptop feels a little overwhelmed otherwise.
loverly loverly on the higher (normal for me) resolution. 800×600 is…not so good. Buy Selva a new laptop and you’ll be all set!
I may have to go dynamic width on the center column and switch my Flickr images down to the smaller preview size. It might not be a bad idea to relegate links to a different page entirely too — does anyone actualy use them to fine other sites? I’m already so swamped with my subscriptions in Bloglines that I can’t handle any more feeds.
There must be a way to manage this gracefully…
Even though you bailed on the trivia team, we still came in first place. Feeling jealous? Good.
I am actually. That was my one chance to be on a winning team…
