It’s been too damn hot this week in central Illinois, which has put an end to the idea that I could make it all summer without air conditioning in my apartment. So in preparation for my trip to the local home store to pick up window units for the living room (nice-to-have) and bedroom (gots-to-have), I stumble across this in the UIUC Graduate and Family Housing handbook:

“Because of wiring limitations, air conditioners can only be installed in the living room.”

Looks like I’ll be sleeping on the couch for the next few weeks…
