Gaslight Square: An Oral HistoryIn no particular order:

  • Stop by Riddle’s Penultimate this Sunday between 2 and 5 p.m. and pick up a copy of Thomas Crone’s latest tome, “Gaslight Square: An Oral History” featuring contemporary photos by yours truly. I got mine today, and aside from looking great, it’s a good read as well.

  • How lucky am I — no sooner do I get accepted to graduate school at the U. of I. than Wilco books a show at Foellinger Auditorium. Saw them at the Fox on their last swing through town, which was a great show, but I’m looking forward to seeing them in a smaller venue this time. Plus I picked up fifth-row seats through their pre-sale site. Should be an enjoyable evening.
  • I don’t want to jinx the deal, but it looks like I’ve sold my house, and for more than I ever expected. [Comment: I thought it was too good to be true.] Next task is to find a place in Champaign, an effort that’s already in full swing.
  • The Eggplant Parmesan at Rossino’s is still unspeakably delicious.
