Crazy Beijing architecture

Bad Baijing ArchitectureThis site deserves a post of it’s own: Bad Beijing Architecture. While I’m particularly fond of this item (after all, I walked past that building twice a day), there are plenty of other examples of out-of control architecture to be found. As my friend Dan said, it makes me want to be an architect, because there’s no way I could be as bad as some of these guys. (Read more about the people behind the site here.)

Along the same lines, check out the Beijing page at skyscraperpage.com, especially the Rem Koolhaas design for CCTV headquarters. It seems to represent the current state of architecture in Beijing — it’s bold, it’s designed by an internationally-renowned architect, and no one seems to know if it will actually be built.
