I took these photos a few weeks ago when Lu, Stacy and I went out to dinner at Gui Jie. Lu worked her way through an entire bowl of very spicy boiled crayfish when Stacy and I could only manage one each. Of course Lu’s from Changsha in Hunan Province, and the Hunanese like their food hot.

I don’t mention it enough here, but this year would have been a lot less enjoyable if not for Stacy and Kai, Lu, Lihong, Yihua and a lot of other friends and coworkers. They’re the ones who have made it as much fun as it’s been.
