Lamenting the loss of the Shenandoah

For the last couple of weeks, a few friends and I have been meeting at the Shenandoah Bar & Grill for Chicken Night. The company would be great regardless, but it’s even more so because the Shenandoah truly has the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. So news that they’re being forced to move out by the new owners of their building hits hard. Their last day is January 31, 2003, and they have yet to decide whether they’re going to reopen elsewhere. Needless to say, I’m going to be putting away half a golden fried chicken once a week (at least) until then, cholesterol be damned!
